SP Ellenville – Threatening correspondence received at local school

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police in Ellenville are investigating a threat made against the Marbletown Elementary School located in Ulster County, N.Y.

The Marbletown Elementary School received correspondence of a threatening nature.  The correspondence appears to be similar in nature to previous threats sent to the school in 2014.  School administrators initiated a lockout and as a precaution cancelled their after school program. The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the New York State Police at Ellenville at 845-626-2800.

The State Police is being assisted by the Ulster County Sheriffs Office with the investigation. Both agencies will be increasing patrols in the area.
