Brewster man charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated

Southeast, New York – On January 18, 2016, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Byron H. Brewer, 41 years old, of Brewster, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Brewer was stopped on Old Doansburg Road for an equipment violation.  Following an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, Brewer was found to be intoxicated at the time of the traffic stop.

Brewer provided police with a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .20%, more than two times the legal limit of intoxication.  He was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Southeast Court on February 23, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.
