State Police arrest a Rensselaer man for having sex with a child

On 1/12/15 the New York State Police in Catskill arrested ROBERT HAKES, age 38, from Rensselaer, NY for Criminal Sexual Act in the 3rd degree, an E Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, an A Misdemeanor.

The New York State Police in Catskill arrested ROBERT HAKES after an investigation revealed HAKES had engaged in sexual activity with a 16 year old child in the Town of New Baltimore. A warrant was issued for HAKES and he was brought from Rensselaer County Jail to Town of New Baltimore Court and arraigned before Town Justice Farrell and remanded to county jail without bail. HAKES is scheduled to return to New Baltimore Court on 1/15/16 at 4:00 pm.
