Brooklyn man charged with entering Sing Sing Correctional Facility with marihuana

PRESS RELEASE

Ossining, New York – On January 13, 2016, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Hawthorne Barracks arrested Terrence K. Jacobus, age 49, of Brooklyn, New York, for Promoting Prison Contraband in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

Troopers were contacted to assist the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations with the arrest of Jacobus, who entered Sing Sing Correctional Facility with marihuana.  The defendant was at the facility to visit an inmate.

Jacobus was issued an appearance ticket and scheduled to appear before the Town of Ossining Court on January 26, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.
