Yonkers, NY man arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated

PRESS RELEASE
Yonkers, NY – On January 12, 2016, at approximately 1:37 a.m., State Police initiated a traffic stop of a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta traveling 97 mph in a posted 55 mph zone on I-87. The driver of the Volkswagen later identified as, Daniel P. Gross, 26, of Yonkers, NY, led Troopers on a short pursuit, before losing control of his vehicle getting stuck in the median. Gross was found to be intoxicated, transported and processed at SP Tarrytown, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.20%. He was subsequently charged with:
- Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor
- Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer; a Class A Misdemeanor
Gross was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Yonkers Court on January 26, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
