Pawling Rotary Highlighted on Channel 8!

 by Susan Stone

Area Rotary clubs do so much to aid local and global communities, and now our local cable channel (Channel 8) presents a program titled“About Rotary” which is produced by Pattersson Rotarian Paula Hernandez, who sent the following information about this informative program.
“About Rotary is a half-hour monthly series on Comcast Public Access Channel 8. In each episode host Bill Flash (President, Rotary Club of Patterson) discusses issues that are close to the heart of Rotary – both Rotary International and our local Rotary clubs in Pawling, Patterson, Brewster, Carmel, and Lake Mahopac.
About Rotary seeks to inform the viewing audience about what Rotary International is all about and what our local clubs are doing in our own neighborhoods to help make life better for others. The program is broken into three segments – delving into the global initiatives of Rotary International, informing about what the local Rotary Clubs have been up to lately, and informing of upcoming Rotary events.
Each episode includes an enlightening interview with a prominent expert, fun pictures and videos from local Rotary community events, and short videos to help educate our viewers about Rotary initiatives to help those in need. Episodes have covered topics that include: What is Rotary?; This Close (polio eradication efforts); and an interview with Judy Callahan of Putnam Community Action Partnership (CAP). This month’s episode is about ShelterBox (www.shelterboxUSA.org).
About Rotary  airs EVERY Monday[s] at 7:30pm on Comcast Channel 8. Channel 8 reaches the towns of Beekman, Carmel, Kent, Southeast, Patterson, Pawling, Putnam Valley and the Village of Brewster NY.”
This Monday’s episode will feature Pawling Rotary’s end of year service efforts. The episode will run on Monday’s throughout the month of January. (See show time listed above!)
