SP Catskill – Drug Arrest

    The New York State Police arrested BRINA HERR, age 22, of Schenevus, NY for Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (Violation) and MICHAEL AHNE, age 26, of Harrison, NY for Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 5th (D Felony) and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (Violation).

On December 26th, 2015 Troopers assigned to SP Albany Thruway Barracks conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate 87 in the Town of Catskill. While interviewing the driver, BRINA HERR, a smell of marihuana was noted to be emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of approximately 4 grams of marihuana found inside the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle, MICHAEL AHNE was then found to possess approximately 8.5 grams of powdered cocaine.

BRINA HERR was issued a traffic ticket and an appearance ticket for Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and released with future court date in the Town Of Catskill Court.

MICHAEL AHNE was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th (D Felony) and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (Violation). AHNE was brought before Town Justice Jacobs in the Town of Catskill Court and was remanded to the Greene County Jail on $10,000 Cash Bail or $20,000 Secured Bond.
