MJC Memorial Fund Performance Workshop

2016 Performance Workshop

For the first time, the Mitchell J. Colucci Memorial Fund is proud to offer Performance Workshops for students interested in singing, dancing, and acting!

During this five week workshop series, students aged *12 and up will be immersed in an educational experience combining fun interactive workshops with direct, hands-on acting, singing, and dancing classes.

In these workshops, students will hone their performance techniques under the guidance and direction of Michael Berkeley .  Workshops will focus on techniques of song interpretation, “selling a song,” voice and diction techniques, and building musical theatre dance and acting skills. In addition, students will explore audition techniques, how to find the most appropriate songs for auditions and general audition tips.

Students will have the opportunity to take what they’ve learned in all their workshops and apply their training toward auditioning for the 2016 Mitchell J. Colucci Performance Revue in April.

*Students ages 10 & 11 are welcome to apply, but will require special permission and/or audition with the workshop director.

**This program is based on a minimum enrollment; we reserve the right to withdraw the program if a requirement is not met. We will confirm the status of this program by December 21, 2015; if it is cancelled at that time all fees will be refunded.

Interested students should complete the application here.
