Amenia Winter Market 12/19

Tomorrow will be our final market of 2015 and it’ll be a big one! Tons of great local foods AND local, handmade gifts! Veggies, meats, eggs, cheeses, wines, pastas, baked goods, Christmas wreaths, pizzas, breads, cider donuts & cinnamon buns, plus oodles of great gift items! All in the gym of the Amenia Town Hall tomorrow – Saturday 12/19 – from 10 to 2.

’tis nearly time!

It’s our final market of 2015 and high time to stock up for Christmas AND New Years! Yes, although we will have a gym PACKED with vendors (only one will be missing – M&M Italian Provisions) for tomorrow’s market, we will not be holding a market the following Saturday as it is Boxing Day and almost every vendor has family commitments. SO, this is it! The BIG DAY! The last chance to stock the pantry and the fridge and the freezer! The last chance to select locally handmade gifts for family and friends!

Running Creek Farm will have wreaths and kissing balls for those of you who like to wait until the last minute to deck the halls! Running Creek will also have tables piled hig with veggies – carrots, parsnips, beets, potatoes, arugula, several types of kale, beet greens, collards, fresh herbs, bok choy, stir-fry greens and more!

Carol Bonci will have her handmade gourmet pizzas – both large and small. The small pizzas have toppings like pear & gorgonzola over carmelized onions… So tasty! (And all of her pizzas are the perfect thing to toss in the oven for a quick dinner on a busy evening.)

Carol also makes these buttery baguettes. Slice into rounds and toast to make exceptionally good crackers!

Great Cape Bakery will be frying cider donuts on-site! They’ll have cinnamon rolls and breads and crullers, too.

Great Cape’s new item: dinner rolls! They’re totally genius – just toss them in the freezer, then heat them in the oven as needed right in their own tray!

We’ll have locally-produced wines, pastas, cheeses and even a super tasty and perfectly spicy red pepper jelly.

Dashing Star Farm will have eggs and lamb and many beautiful farmstead wool gift items (yarn, wool-stuffed pillows, dryer balls, handknit items, felted coasters, felted tech cases and more).

We’ll have many fantastic gift items including those from Randi Sue Foreman – cashmere or gingham bunnies, tartan Scotties, handknit lovies and cabled headbands and, brand new for tomorrow, aprons!

The clever and sweet itsy-bitsy gardens from Vintage Terrariums make lovely gifts! Perfect as a hostess gift – they don’t require any immediate attention at all!

The Cookies By Mabel are all bagged up and ready to go!

Sheddville Hand-Knits has an amazing assortment of handknitted items, including sweaters for babies, sweater sets for dolls, sweaters for grown-ups, socks, scarves, hats and much more!

Gifts for dogs! Organic dog treats!

Lovely for any home – country or city – are these framed photographs by Dianne Engleke.

There will also be on-site knife sharpening.

And beef! And pork! And honey! All those things, too!
