Putnam Valley man charged with two counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing following DMV investigation

Wappingers Falls, New York – On December 15, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested 48-year-old Barry I. Drabin-Gray, of Putnam Valley, New York, for two counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing, a Class E Felony.

The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle.   Subsequent to the investigation it was discovered that in September of 2014, Drabin-Gray unlawfully presented a fictitious New Jersey vehicle title and NYS DMV paperwork at the Village of Wappinger Falls DMV Office while registering a 1979 “kit car”.

Drabin-Gray was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Village of Wappingers Falls Court on January 7, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
