State Police at Liberty Make Burglary Arrest

PRESS RELEASE

On the morning of Saturday December 12, 2015 State Police at Liberty received a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on St-Rte 97 in Callicoon.  The homeowner reported to police that he confronted a male suspect inside his home and that property, including a purse was stolen by the suspect.  Responding Troopers observed the suspect’s vehicle fleeing the scene and a pursuit ensued.  After ashort pursuit, the suspect complied with orders to stop.  Gladstone Taylor, age 28 of North Branch, NY was taken into custody after a brief stuggle.  The property stolen from the residence was recovered.

Taylor was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Robbery 3rd Degree, felonies and Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer 3rd Degree and Resisting arrest, misdemeanors.

Taylor was arraigned in the Town of Delware Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
