Obituary, Mary A. Sartori

 

Dover Plains, NY – Mary A. Sartori, 98, a lifelong resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Sharon Health Care in Sharon, CT. Mrs. Sartori was a seamstress at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY for 37 years retiring in 1972.

Born on April 16, 1917 in Dover Plains, NY she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Margharita (Boscardin) Sartori. On October 20, 1935 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Pawling, NY she married Marco B. Sartori who predeceased her on January 4, 1996.

Mrs. Sartori was a member of the Home Bureau in Dover Plains, NY. She was also a life member of the J.H. Ketcham Hose Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Sartori was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a member of the alter rosary society.

Mrs. Sartori is survived by her son, Marco J. (Linda) Sartori of Amenia, NY and a daughter, Madeline (Roger) Callahan of Dover Plains, NY. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Alicia, Ann Marie (Andy Brammer) Sartori, and Angella (Lea) Weber and four grandsons, Kevin (Jennifer), James (Michelle), Mark (Karin) and Jon Callahan. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren, Ally (Tim) Cutter, Michael, Marco, Mackenzie, Amanda (Michael Preciado), Rylee, Jack, Danny, Erin, Shane and Cian Callahan, Taylor and Maddalena Sartori and Sartori, Marley and Liliana Weber; one step great-grandson, Cole Riggs; one great great-grandson, Lucas Preciado and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Sartori was predeceased by three brothers, Frank, Paul and Marco Sartori and a sister, Angelina Cantele.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill St., Dover Plains, NY.
