LaGrange man charged with two felonies following domestic dispute

LaGrange, New York – On December 12, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Bryan J. Gardner, 31 years old, of LaGrange, New York, for Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, both Class D Felonies.  Gardner was also charged with Harassment 2nd Degree, a Violation.

On November 23, 2015 at approximately 11:45 p.m., Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a domestic dispute that occurred at a Town of LaGrange home.  Troopers interviewed the suspect who reported that he had engaged in a verbal argument with the victim prior to her leaving the scene.

A subsequent investigation revealed that while the victim was at Gardner’s home, he discharged a round from a long gun during the dispute.  Gardner also had physical contact with the victim during the incident.

Gardner was arraigned before the Town of LaGrange Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.  He is due to return to the Town of LaGrange Court on December 15, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
