Poughkeepsie woman charged with endangering the welfare of a disabled person

Red Hook, New York –  On December 4, 2015, The New York State Police in Rhinebeck arrested Monique Jenkins, 41 years old, of Poughkeepsie, New York,  for Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent or Physically Disabled Person in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On November 27, 2015, Jenkins was caring for a 20-year-old mentally handicapped person when an argument occurred between the two.  Subsequent to the verbal argument,  Jenkins placed her hand around the throat of the victim, endangering his well-being.

Jenkins was issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear before the Town of Red Hook Justice Court on December 17, 2015.
