Staten Island woman arrested for visiting Downstate Correctional Facility with marihuana

Fishkill, New York – On November 25, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested 47-year-old Brenda L. Concepcion, of Staten Island, New York, for Promoting Prison Contraband in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.
Troopers were contacted to assist the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations with the arrest of Concepcion, who reportedly entered the Downstate Correctional Facility with marihuana in her possession. Concepcion was at the facility to visit an inmate.
The New York State Police were assisted by the NYS DOCCS Office of Special Investigations.
Concepcion was issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear before the Town of Fishkill Court on December 2, 2015.
