Connecticut Woman Charged With DWI

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Connecticut woman on a charge of DWI.

On November 21, 2015 at 1:38 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Christopher Tompkins responded to a 911 report of a property damage auto accident on Milltown Road in the Town of Southeast. Upon arrival, the deputy located a vehicle that had been driven off of the roadway and overturned into a shed. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Victoria E. Mednick, 25, of 168 Merwin Road, Milford, Connecticut was injured and intoxicated. Ms. Mednick was transported to Danbury hospital via Brewster ambulance. The deputy arrested and charged Ms. Medinick with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. She will be required to appear in the Town of Southeast Justice Court at a later date to answer the charges.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
