Wappinger, New York – On November 28, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Timothy A. Kane, 56 years old, of Haines City, Florida, for Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree and Resisting Arrest, both Misdemeanors.

Troopers responded to the Stop & Shop located in the Town of Wappinger for a reported disorderly subject refusing to leave the property despite being asked to leave on several occasions.

When Troopers attempted to place Kane in custody, he became physically combative. During a brief struggle, a Trooper suffered a knee injury.

After Kane was placed under arrest, a file check indicated that he was also wanted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Kane was arraigned at the Village of Wappingers Falls Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

His next appearance is scheduled for the Town of Wappinger Justice Court on December 1, 2015, at 5:30 p.m.
