PRESS RELEASE

11/14/2015 – The New York State Police – Highland BCI announce the arrest of 27 year old, Arthur H. Codner Jr., of New Hampton, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (a class C felony) and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs – Combined Influence (an unclassified misdemeanor).

On 11/14/15, New York State Police patrols conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Arthur Codner Jr., while on State Route 299 in the Town of New Paltz, for failing to keep right in the roadway and moving from the lane unsafely. A roadside investigation found that Codner unlawfully possessed a quantity of MDMA, a hallucinogenic substance. Codner was also found to be impaired by the influence of drugs and alcohol. Codner was arrested and processed at SP Highland.

Codner was arraigned before Judge Katz in the Town of New Paltz Court and was subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail on $10,000 cash / $20,000 bond. Codner is set to re-appear in the Town of New Paltz Court on 11/17/15 at 5pm.
