Wappinger resident arrested for drug possession following traffic stop

Wappinger, New York – On November 12, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested 21-year-old Christie A. McMahon, of Wappinger Falls, New York, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

Troopers stopped McMahon on New Hackensack Road for failing to maintain her designated lane of travel.  Pursuant to an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, it was determined that McMahon was impaired at the time of the stop.

McMahon was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance for unlawfully possessing Xanax and Clonazepam.

McMahon was issued appearance tickets directing her to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on November 24, 2015.
