Pet of The Week: Mia

Mia is a 4 year old female mix who gets passed by time after time.  They say black and dark dogs have the hardest time getting adopted.  Mia hopes that’s not true, because she’s a sweet and loyal girl who would love to play ball and go on hikes with an adult family.  She can be a bit shy at first, but if you bounce a tennis ball you’ll meet the real Mia.  This playful and affectionate girl will need to be an only pet, so if you’re looking for a one and only, come and meet Mia at the Putnam Humane Society.  We’re open every day, you can visit with the dogs from 10-3.  Cat lovers can visit with the kitties from 10-4:15 daily.  The shelter is located at 68 Old Route 6 in Carmel, NY.  (845) 225-7777.  Get the pets, kids and the whole family ready for Pet Pictures with Santa!  Saturday, November 28thfrom 11-4 at the Brewster Feed Barn and Saturday, December 12th from 11-4 at the Mahopac Feed Barn.  Check our website for more information.  www.puthumane.org
