“Wonderment”

Gallery Exhibit Opening Reception

New Milford, CT (November 13, 2015) — The Silo at Hunt Hill Farm is hosting a reception on Saturday, November 21st from3:00pm – 6:00pm in the Silo Gallery to celebrate the opening of its latest exhibit, “Wonderment.”

The all-women show will feature work from Lauren Cotton, Katherine Daniels, Nancy Daubenspeck, Amelia de Neergaard, Celia Johnson, Amber Maida and Audrey Stone.  The show was curated by local artist, Jessica Jane Russell.  Russell’s inspiration for the exhibit derived both from a quote from Silo founder Skitch Henderson, in which he described Hunt Hill Farm as “symphony of wonderment and joy,” as well as a desire to highlight and promote the crafting medium.  All seven artists will be exhibiting artwork utilizing materials and techniques inherited from more traditional crafting processes. “Created simply as explorations of the joy of the creative process, color, composition and materiality, these works become objects of pure beauty, and of wonder,” explains Russell.
