Pleasant Valley man arrested following domestic dispute

Pleasant Valley, New York – On October 25, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Darryl G. Greenfield, 50 years old, of Pleasant Valley, New York, for Burglary 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Contempt 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, Menacing, and Resisting arrest, both Misdemeanors.

Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a Pleasant Valley residence for a domestic disturbance. The victim reported that her estranged boyfriend was in the home destroying her property.

Troopers entered the home and observed that Greenfield had broken windows, shattered a television and destroyed other property. Greenfield failed to obey police commands, aggressively charged at them, and was subsequently placed in custody following a brief struggle.

Pursuant to an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, it was discovered that Greenfield was previously served a court order of protection prohibiting him from having contact with the victim or being at the residence.

Greenfield was arraigned before the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail. He is due to return to court at a later date and time.
