Obituary, Wesley Donald Loveday

 

Poughkeepsie – Wesley Donald Loveday, 43, of Poughkeepsie, passed away very unexpectedly at home on October 23, 2015.

Wesley was born on September 18, 1972 in Yonkers, to Donald and Rebecca Lambert Loveday who survive in Poughquag. He grew up in Poughquag where he graduated from Arlington High School and received his Master’s degree in Computer Science from SUNY New Paltz. On November 3, 2002 he married Christine “Tina” Crosson in Wappingers Falls.

Wesley was a championship roller-skater as a teenager and loved to ski. He was a very talented musician and was proficient on the piano, bass guitar, guitar and saxophone. He played in many local bands but is most remembered for being the keyboard player in a popular wedding/dance band he shared with his wife known as “CLOUDNYNE”. He loved performing and writing his own music. The most memorable song was the one he played when he proposed to his wife in front of an entire audience. He was a loving husband, father and son. He was employed as a software developer for BLUEMARK, LLC in New Paltz.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Tina, his son Alexander Wesley, his stepdaughter Kirsten Marie, his sisters-in-law, Cathleen Bailey and husband John of Lake Katrine, Susanne Ziolkowski and husband Mark of Charleston, South Carolina, and Ashley Van Vliet of Wappingers Falls. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls.
