Wappinger man arrested for drug possession following traffic stop

Wappinger, New York – On October 22, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Kyle T. Cowan, 21 years old, of Wappinger, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.
Cowan was stopped at the intersection of All Angels Hill Road and Old Hopewell Road for operating a vehicle with an inadequate exhaust. Following an investigation conducted by police, Cowan was found to possess Xanax and marihuana at the time of the stop.
Cowan was arrested and issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on November 19, 2015.
