Mother and son arrested for petit larceny and falsifying business records

On 10/15/15, The New York State Police at Monroe announce the arrests of Myles Arthur, 17 and his mother, Melissa Richardson, 37, both of Monroe, NY for Falsifying Business Records in the 1st degree, Petit Larceny and an additional charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Myles Arthur was working as a cashier at a local clothing store when the fraudulent acts took place in which he would alter the price tag of an item presented by Melissa Richardson and charge a lesser value. These larcenies which totaled just less than $1,000.00 took place on several occasions between late September and early October of this year and were committed while Richardson had her 7 year old son with her.
Arthur and Richardson were issued appearance tickets for a future court date in the town of Monroe Court.
