Cache of Weapons and Drugs Seized from Hamptonburgh Residence

State Police in Montgomery announce the arrests of  Todd R. Brunning, age 32, and Heather A. Johnson age 28, residing in the Town of Hamptonburgh, Orange County NY.  Both were charged with: 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, (B Class Felony); Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, (C Class Felony); Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, (E Class Felony); Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, (Class D Felony); Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, (Class A Misdemeanor); Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, (Class A Misdemeanor).  Mr. Brunning was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, (Class D Felony) and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, (Violation).

The investigation conducted by SP Montgomery Troopers and BCI resulted in the execution of a search warrant signed by Town of Hamptonburgh Justice Golden.  The search from the one room apartment yielded over 1300 decks of heroin, five handguns, two of which were stolen from a residence in the Town of Crawford, one rifle, one shotgun, an assortment of ammunition, an assortment of controlled substances in pill form, concentrated cannabis, marihuana, a large quantity of cash along with a money counting machine and several thousand dollars worth of gift cards from various merchants.  Mr. Brunning was charged with the weapons violations for having been previously convicted of a felony.  The investigation is ongoing with additional charges pending.

The pair were arraigned at the Town of Hamptonburgh Court before Town Judge Golden where Brunning was remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $150,000 bond bail and Johnson was remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash or $75,000 bond.  They will return to the court on October 20th, 2015 at 3:30 PM.
