State Police arrest Wappinger man with the assistance of the public

**UPDATE**
On October 10, 2015, the New York State Police Bureau of Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested David L. Williams, age 36, of Wappingers Falls, New York, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, and Identity Theft in the 3rd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The New York State Police investigated the report of the theft of a Ford F-150 pickup truck from a private residence in the Town of Wappinger on July 30, 2015. During the investigation, security video showed two subjects believed to be making fraudulent purchases using the complainant’s credit card in the City of Poughkeepsie.

The complainant reported that the credit card had been inside of the vehicle that was reported stolen. David Williams was identified as one of the subjects, with the assistance of the public.

On October 10, 2015, David Williams was located and arrested by the New York State Police. Williams was arraigned at the City of Poughkeepsie Court, and Williams was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail with no bail. Williams’ next appearance was scheduled for October 14, 2015, at 9:00 a.m.

The New York State Police are still seeking to identify the second subject, who is pictured wearing a striped shirt. Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Kent Smith by calling (845) 677-7300 or (845) 298-0952.

Wappinger, New York – The New York State Police in Wappinger are attempting to identify the above subjects wanted for questioning in connection with the theft of a Ford F150 pick-up truck, stolen from a private residence in the Town of Wappinger on July 30, 2015.

The pictured subjects are believed to have fraudulently used a credit card that was located inside of the vehicle for purchases made in the City of Poughkeepsie.
The suspects were observed traveling in a Maroon GMC Envoy with New York plates.
