Dover man charged with Burglary

PRESS RELEASE
Dover, New York – On October 2, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Christopher R. Kiely, 26 years old, of Dover, New York, for Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, and the Class A Misdemeanor of Possession of Burglar’s Tools.

While on routine patrol, Troopers observed a male subject exit the Dover Knolls Development II carrying what appeared to be light fixtures.  The officers exited their patrol vehicle and pursued the suspect who had re-entered the former Wingdale Psychiatric Center building.   Following a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody and identified as Kiely.

Kiely was arraigned before the Town of Dover Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond.  He is due to return to Dover Court on October 19, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
