SPIRIT WEEK IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! Get ready to show your spirit! Tuesday, October 13th is Color Wars – Seniors wear Black, Juniors wear White, Sophomores wear Orange and Freshman wear Blue. Wednesday, October 14th is Show Your Patriotism and wear Red, White, and Blue. Thursday, October 15th is Pajama Day – please dress appropriately and Friday is Spirit Day – Wear your Orange and Black

1. Today is a “B” Day.

2. Anyone interested in taking part in Boo Bash please come see Ms. Mangar.

3. Senior Honor Society members please stop by Ms. Murray’s room to sign up for a committee. We need everyone to get involved in something. Let’s make this a great year!

4. Any Juniors or Seniors needing Community Service can work at tonight’s football game. See Mr. Esposito for details.

5. There will be an open gym for all boys interested in playing JV or Varsity Basketball on Monday and Wednesday at 5:30 pm in the high school gym.

6. A representative from the following schools will be visiting today: Keuka College will be in the guidance office today, October 2nd at 8:30 am. Next week on Tuesday, October 6th the US Navy recruiter will be in the dining hall during both lunches and Bard College will be in the guidance office on Wednesday, October 7th at 11 am. Please stop by the guidance office to set up an appointment or if you have any questions!

7. Community Service Opportunity – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk. Our Dutchess County Walk is on October 17th at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Walk serves to raise money for blood cancer research and improve the lives of patients and their families. All volunteers will be provided with community service hours. Their families are also more than welcome to volunteer! Please stop by the community service office for more information!

8. Attention high school students – Yearbooks are now on sale. Order forms will be sent home next week but if you would like a head start see Ms. Wool for information.

9. Get your Homecoming t-shirts!!! That’s right they are here! Show your Dragon Pride by purchasing a t-shirt for $15 during lunches or see Ms. Krieger! GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!!!!

10. This is the last week to sign up for the fall session of Driver’s Education. Applications for Driver’s Education are available in the guidance office. Please turn in your application ASAP. Classes are scheduled to begin October 5th.

11. SAT Word of the Day is TALISMAN. The word means lucky charm.

12. The deadline to register for the November SAT test is Friday, October 9th. If you have any questions, please see the guidance office.

13. Community Service Opportunity – Dover Homecoming Senior Recognition Ceremony – Seeking at least 12 students to assist setting up our “home” on Saturday, October 17th from 9 am – 12 noon. We will meet at the main entrance of the track area to decorate.  Stop by the community service office to sign up.
