Patterson man arrested following domestic dispute

Patterson, New York – On September 13, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from Brewster arrested John Alexander, 47 years old, of Patterson, New York, for Strangulation 2^nd Degree, a Class D Felony, and Criminal Mischief 4^th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

At approximately 9:41 p.m., Troopers were dispatched by Putnam County 911 to a physical domestic dispute that occurred in the Town of Patterson.  It was reported that Alexander had physically assaulted the victim by choking her.  He also damaged the victim’s cell phone during the dispute.

Alexander was arraigned in the Town of Southeast court and released on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Patterson Court on September 17, 2015.
