Dover man charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs

PRESS RELEASE
Dover, New York – On September 11, 2015, New York State Police from the Dover barracks arrested Christopher J.  Sheeley, 19 years old, of Dover, New York, for Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, both Misdemeanors.

Troopers stopped a vehicle traveling on State Route 22 for failing to maintain its lane.   While police interviewed the driver, identified as Sheeley, they observed signs of impairment.

A New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert was utilized to confirm that Sheeley was impaired.

Sheeley was charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs and for unlawfully possessing Clonazepam.  He was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Dover Court on September 17, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
