Wappinger woman charged with drug possession

Wappinger, New York – On September 7, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Athena Xenakis, 24 years old, of Wappinger, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Troopers were dispatched to conduct a welfare check on a female sleeping in a parked vehicle located in the A. C. Moore parking lot. A subsequent investigation revealed that Xenakis possessed heroin.
Xenakis was issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on October 13, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
