State Police investigate bicycle crash in Union Vale

PRESS RELEASE

Union Vale, New York – On September 6, 2015 at approximately 9:25 a.m., New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks responded with Union Vale Rescue Squad to assist an injured bicyclist on Walsh Road, in the Town of Union Vale.

A preliminary investigation revealed that 66-year-old John M. Dunn of Union Vale, New York, was riding his bicycle on Walsh Road in an unknown direction.  Mr. Dunn fell from his bicycle and sustained several injuries including a serious head injury.  At this time, the cause of the event remains under investigation.

Dunn was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital by Union Vale Rescue Squad and was later transported to Westchester Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.

The State Police are asking anyone who may have witness this incident to contact SP Poughkeepsie by calling (845) 677-7300.
