Cortlandt man arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs

Cortlandt, New York – On August 31, 2015, New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested George Maggiore, 24 years old, of Cortlandt Manor, New York, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, both Misdemeanors.

Troopers were dispatched to conduct a welfare check on a driver located behind the wheel of a vehicle unresponsive.  Following an investigation conducted by the responding Trooper, Maggiore was found to be impaired by drugs. Maggiore was also charged with possessing Clonazepam, a controlled substance.

Maggiore was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Cortlandt Court on September 11, 2015.
