Two females arrested for Unlawfully Dealing with a Minor and Endangering the Welfare of Child in theTown of Kingston

On August 19, 2015 the New York State Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigation SP Kingston arrested MEREDITH S. MCSPIRIT age 19 of Kingston, NY and SARA-ANNE R. MCSPIRIT age 17 of Kingston, NY for Unlawfully Dealing With a Child in the 1st Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child respectively regarding the welfare of a female two month old child.

The New York State Police in Kingston, NY responded to 911 call of unconscious 17 year old female who appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol and a two month of female child screaming in Sawkill, NY. Responding New York State Police patrol found SARA-ANNE R. MCSPIRIT disoriented and unable to care for herself along with the two month old female niece of SARA-ANNE R. MCSPIRIT. Upon further investigation it was found that MEREDITH S. MCSPIRIT provided and smoked a marijuana cigarette with SARA-ANNE R.MCSPIRIT prior to leaving the residence and leaving SARA-ANNE MCSPIRIT alone to care for a two month old child. MEREDITH S. MCSPIRIT was charged with Unlawfully Dealing With a Child in the 1st degree (Misdemeanor) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Misdemeanor). SARA-ANNE R. MCSPIRIT was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Misdemeanor).

Both individuals were released on their own recognizance with appearance tickets to appear in Town of Kingston Court on August 25, 2015.
