State Police are seeking the public’s assistance to help locate a missing Ghent man

Ghent, New York – New York State Police from the Livingston barracks are seeking the public’s assistance to help locate 82-year-old Douglas Fithian.

Mr. Fithian was last seen at the Camphill Village Assisted Living Center on August 17, 2015 at approximately at 9 am.  At approximately 1 pm, facility staff contacted the State Police and reported him missing after they discovered his GPS bracelet had been removed.

Fithian is described as a 5’9” white male, weighing approximately 142 pounds.  He was last seen wearing black jeans and a long sleeve plaid shirt.  It is reported that Fithian may suffer from the on-set of Dementia and may be in need of medication.

Fithian may have been picked up by an acquaintance and enroute to the Berkshire area.
