Dover Plains – Arthur H. Grey, Jr., 58, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. Mr. Grey was a therapy aide at Hudson River Psychiatric Center in Poughkeepsie, NY for 27 years retiring in 2003.
Born on May 31, 1957 in Poughkeepsie, NY he was the son of the late Arthur H. Grey, Sr. and Edith (Spaulding) Grey. On December 7, 1991 in Millerton, NY he married Valarie Arms DiStabile who survives at home.
In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Grey is survived by four sons, Jason A. Grey and his wife, Donna, of Charleston, SC, John DiStabile and his wife, Shenna, of Walden, NY, Michael DiStabile of Dover Plains, NY and Roger Grey of Jacksonville, FL and a daughter, Stephanie DiStabile of Dover Plains, NY. He is also survived by a brother, Richard Grey and his wife, Laura, of Amenia, NY; a sister, Sharon McCarthy and her husband, Dennis of Wingdale, NY; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the funeral home with Father Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow at South Dover Rural Cemetery in Wingdale, NY.
