Troopers stopped the Ford Mustang Ramos Gonzalez was operating on Fishkill Avenue in the City of Beacon for failing to maintain his designated lane of travel and speeding. While interviewing Ramos Gonzalez, Troopers observed heavy damage to the vehicle he was operating.  An investigation revealed that he had struck a parked vehicle on Fishkill Avenue and left the scene.

He was arrested by investigating officers when they observed clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Ramos Gonzalez was charged with Felony DWI when a criminal history revealed that he was convicted of DWI in March and November of 2009.

Ramos Gonzalez supplied police with a positive breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of .16%, two times the legal limit of intoxication.  He was arraigned before the City of Beacon Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond.
