Canaan, New York – On August 9, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Livingston barracks charged 3 Berkshire Farm residents with Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, following an incident reported to police on Sunday.

Troopers were dispatched to the Berkshire Farm Center for a reported larceny that occurred at the Berkshire Union Free School dining hall.

An investigation revealed that on August 8th, three residents unlawfully entered the dining hall and removed an undisclosed amount of US currency.

Kalif Cox, 18 years old and 16-year-old Quajon Rhodes, were arraigned before the Town of Canaan Court.  They were remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2500 cash bail.  Brendan Ryan, age 16, was issued an appearance ticket directing him to appear before the Town of Canaan Court on August 18, 2015.  Ryan was returned to the Berkshire Farm Center.
