Fishkill woman charged with drug possession following traffic stop

East Fishkill, New York – On August 9, 2015, New York State Police from the Stormville barracks arrested 51-year-old Judith A. Rankin, of Fishkill, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3^rd Degree, a unclassified Misdemeanor.

Troopers stopped a 2015 Hyundai Accent operated by Rankin on Lake Walton Road when she failed to dim her high beams to a southbound patrol vehicle.  Subsequent investigation revealed that Rankin’s New York State Driver’s License was suspended and that she was in possession of approximately 4.2 grams of heroin.

Rankin was issued appearance tickets directing her to appear before the Town of East Fishkill Court on August 12, 2015.
