Obituary, Anne Marie Keefe Chamberlin

Millerton – Anne Marie Keefe Chamberlin, 66 died unexpectedly in her home on the evening of August 28, 2018. Born on November 5, 1951, she was the third child of the late Edward and Jean Floyd Keefe. Anne spent her childhood in Amenia but was a resident of her home on Coleman Station Road in Millerton, NY for her adult life. She graduated from Webutuck Central High School in 1969.

Anne was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending her days cooking meals and sending food home for her children and their families. Anne had many talents, she enjoyed trips to the local Daisy Hill Farm and Paley’s Farm Market, buying plants and herbs so that she could garden and fill her porch with beautiful pots of flowers.

For many years Anne had a passion for antiques in which she both sold and decorated her home with. She filled her home with beautiful things and her flare surely showed when you entered her home. Anne could paint, sew cross stitch and turn anything she got her hands on into something creative.

Anne was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved anything Irish right down to the bumper stickers her kids teased her about. Anne’s children agree that they could go on but realize that there are not enough words or days on earth to express their love and appreciation for their beloved “ma.”

Anne is survived by her “world” her children John, Juliet and her “baby” Jeanna. Two Grandchildren in which she adored Mackenzie Anne and Hansy Cortsen, and her children’s spouses Lacy Simonton, Landon Johns and Hans Cortsen Jr.
