Obituary, John A. Perry

 

Clinton Corners – John A. Perry, 46, entered into rest on June 4, 2018 along with his beloved wife, Kelly L. Perry.

John was born in Poughkeepsie on March 3, 1972 and was the son of the late James E. Perry and surviving mother, Virginia R. Perry of Poughkeepsie.

John worked for J&R General Contracting for the past twenty-one years along with his co-worker, (nephew) Derrick L. Funk of Hyde Park, who was more like a brother to him. In addition to his full time Job, John performed a lot of additional types of construction on his own time for people.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, horseshoes, darts, and playing poker with several of his friends and relatives. John was also a die-hard NY Yankees fan.

Survivors include his son, Dustin Perry of Clinton Corners; brother James E. Perry Jr. and wife, Maryellen of Hyde Park; sister, Diane T. Funk and husband, Jim of Salt Point; sister, Brenda A Perry of Pleasant Valley; Brother, William H. Perry and wife, Tracey of Pine Plains; brother, Kevin M. Perry of Hyde Park; sister, Kimberly Larson Vetrano; and several nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Memorial calling hours for him, his wife, and nephew, Michael Lasher, will be from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, June 16th at the Reach out Church, 241 Crum Elbow Rd, Hyde Park, NY 12538. (www.reachoutchurch.com)

A memorial service for the three of them will follow at 1 pm at the church with Pastor Carl Forster officiating.
Burial of his ashes will be private and at the convenience of the family.
