Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrest of a 24-year-old Mahopac driver who was found in a car, slumped over the wheel, on Route 22 in the Town of Southeast.

On May 19, 2018, at approximately 5:57 a.m., while on patrol in the Town of Southeast, Deputy Sheriff Christopher Tompkins, was dispatched to the Brewster Mobile located at 978 Route 22 in the Town of Southeast. Upon arriving he saw a male slumped over the wheel of a car. Deputy Tompkins further observed that the vehicle was running and the driver’s foot was on the brake. The deputy made several unsuccessful attempts to wake the driver, Dante A. Frazer, age 24, of Mahopac.

Deputy Tompkins was eventually able to wake Mr. Frazer who was subsequently arrested after failing roadside sobriety tests. He was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor, for having a Blood Alcohol Content of more than .18%.

Mr. Frazer was released without bail and is due in Southeast Justice Court on a future date.
