Obituary, Kenneth Philip Mitchell

 

Kenneth Philip Mitchell passed away at his home in Pawling Monday, April 10, 2017.  Kenny was 74.

A life-time Pawling resident, Kenny was born in the Bronx on November 22, 1942 to the late Harold and Ruth (Fesselmeyer) Mitchell.  He married Marilyn Busch on June 10, 1970 in Devon, CT; she survives at home.

Kenny worked as a supervisor for the NYS Highway Department in Pawling, Patterson, and Wassaic.

Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a member of the Pawling Fish & Game Club. He was also a 30-year member of the Pawling Lion’s Club.

In addition to his wife, Marilyn, he is survived by his son, Jason (Adrienne) and two grandchildren, Alexia & Justin, all of Pawling; his sister, Renee “Rae” Rose and her husband Ken of Lake Worth, FL and his two nieces, Tracie & Karen; several other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends.

Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY Friday, April 14th 5-8 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday at 10 AM.  Burial will follow in Quaker Hill Cemetery, Pawling, NY.
