Gusty northwest winds reaching 30 to 40 mph at times will lead to areas of blowing and drifting snow across the mid Hudson Valley and Litchfield County Connecticut. This may cause locally slippery travel conditions, as previously treated roadways could become snow covered. In addition, visibilities could become reduced at times to under one mile. Motorists should be prepared to encounter rapidly changing visibilities and road conditions throughout today. $$
