TOWN OF WAPPINGER – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into a shooting that took place Saturday evening near Heritage Financial Park, the home field of the Hudson Valley Renegades. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the area of 45 Pappas Lane, just south of the stadium.

Authorities reported that a male victim suffered gunshot wounds to his arm and leg. Instead of waiting for emergency responders, the man drove himself to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
