At about 8:15 a.m., U.S. Park Police reportedly stopped a plumbing truck near the intersection of Military Road and 27th Street NW. Witnesses told local outlets they saw officers remove a man from the vehicle and take him into custody.
“Not sure what’s up here,” one reader reported. “At 8:15 a.m., Park Police arrested a man from a plumbing truck. Moments later, other Park Police and unmarked vehicles — maybe ICE? — were racing down Military toward the scene. I guess the craziness has come to leafy upper Northwest.”

Another witness described seeing a heavy police presence moments later. “Around an hour ago I saw about a dozen law enforcement vehicles swarm a pickup truck on Military Road,” the resident said. “Cops flew through traffic with lights and sirens blaring.
