Robbery Turns Violent as Suspects Assault Victim in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A robbery in Northwest Washington escalated into violence early Sunday morning, leaving a victim assaulted and police searching for suspects captured on surveillance footage.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred around 4:05 a.m. on August 4 in the 800 block of 7th Street, Northwest. Police say the suspects approached an individual on the street, stole their belongings, and then physically attacked the victim before fleeing the scene.

Surveillance Footage Released

Nearby security cameras captured images of the suspects involved, and police have since released those visuals in hopes the public can help identify and locate them.
