Police Seek Woman Accused of Knife Assault During Dispute Over Money in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Authorities are searching for a woman accused of attacking another person with a knife during a money-related dispute in Northwest Washington.

The incident took place in December 2024 on the 1600 block of Columbia Road NW, located in the Columbia Heights neighborhood. According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the altercation began as an argument over money between the suspect and the victim.

During the heated exchange, the woman reportedly pulled out a knife and slashed the victim’s hand. After the assault, she allegedly took the victim’s money and fled the scene on foot.

The victim’s injuries have not been detailed, but the nature of the attack prompted an ongoing investigation. Surveillance cameras in the area captured images of the suspect, which have been released by police in hopes of identifying her.

Detectives are urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating the woman. She is described only in connection with the images released by authorities.
