WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a broad daylight stabbing on Thursday, August 7, in Northwest D.C.
The incident took place at approximately 5:36 p.m. in the 1100 block of 7th Street NW. According to investigators, the suspect and the victim were engaged in a physical altercation when the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
Victim Recovering
Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not released the victim’s identity, and no further details have been provided regarding the motive for the attack.

Reward Offered
To encourage tips, the MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this violent crime.
